Wrap It Up!

Today was my final day at the Warhol. My time with my interning with Ryan Boyle at the Warhol has been nothing but positive. He always treated me professionally and as an equal, not a lousy intern. I believe he is the best in the work he does as the events coordinator. I went into the office and worked on my final internship paper, as my projects have all been completed. It was very sweet of my supervisor to give me a few Warhol themed gifts. I have learned alot since beginning at the Warhol as events intern and I look forward to using my knowledge in the future.

Biography

                                                                        Hello!

My name is Christine Schell and I'm a senior Sports, Arts and Entertainment Management major or Point Park University. I transferred to Point Park University after my freshman year at IUP. Living in downtown Pittsburgh has opened the door to many opportunities. I have previously interned at Pittsburgh Restaurant Week as their marketing intern before being asked to work as a part-time Outreach Assistant. I mentor through an on-campus organization Strong Women, Strong Girls as well as run their social media sites. (@SWSG_PPU #SWSG_PPU) I also currently write for the Point Park chapter of a national blog HerCampus.com. Below you will find my log of interning with The Andy Warhol Museum for the Fall 2014 semester.

Marketing!

Another project I worked on was distribution lists of events pamphlets. As I've mentioned before the Warhol went through a recent renovation to their event space and it is still brand new! To market their new space, they have been working on new marketing pamphlettes and considered raising the prices. After my research they decided they were in the right market to raise their price about $1,000 and the new pamphlets were printed. The events page of the website features some of the information and pictures from the pamphlets found here: http://www.warhol.org/museum/facilityrentals/

Here are the pamphlets:
Marketing the new space has been something I've enjoyed seeing the transition. I've learned it is important to always keep close attention to the brand of the Warhol. Everything needs to represent the Warhol brand from design to content.

Website PDF's!

My most recent day at the Warhol was spent wrapping up my projects I worked on throughout the semester. I have one last day at the Warhol this Wednesday! I first met with my advisor to review my time at the Warhol and look at the final products of the FAQ's PDF and give the approval for it to go live on the website. You can find the page I worked on below:

The PDF I helped construct to is also linked on the page:
I am happy to see my work used on the Warhol website. I also spent some time back tracking payments received. Every event at the Warhol past and present has a folder with a checklist (that I made) to make sure all documents are received per event such as contract, deposit, etc. I updated the folders then back tracked a check that had been recently received. It would have taken me a hour or two if I had to go through the entire events history to see where the check belonged but the internet is a powerful weapon and I quickly found what event it belonged to.
